About Lacey

Health insurance and Medicare are personal to me.

My path into this industry started while helping care for my grandmother near the end of her life. As our family tried to navigate Medicare, prescriptions, medical bills, and coverage questions, I saw how overwhelming the system can be—even for smart, capable people.

After earning my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth, I began my career as a chemist. I later moved into insurance, where I quickly learned that not every organization puts clients first. After spending 13 years with Humana, I developed a deep respect for ethical guidance, education, and long-term client relationships.

I founded Virtue Insurance because I wanted the freedom to recommend plans based on what is best for each client—not sales goals, carrier incentives, or one-size-fits-all advice. The name Virtue reflects the standard I believe this industry should be built on: integrity, transparency, and doing the right thing.

As I worked with more clients approaching retirement, I saw how often people made Social Security claiming decisions without meaningful guidance. I earned the Registered Social Security Analyst (RSSA®) designation so I could better help clients understand how Medicare, Social Security, and healthcare planning work together.

Today, I help individuals and families throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Florida navigate Medicare, individual health insurance, and Social Security planning. I take the time to review doctors, prescriptions, benefits, costs, and each client’s unique situation before making recommendations.

My relationship with clients does not end after enrollment. I want clients to call me when they have billing questions, medication changes, confusing paperwork, or concerns about their coverage. The more I know, the better I can help.

Outside of work, I live in Maple Grove with my husband, Dan. We’re excited to welcome our first child this fall. I’m also a proud aunt to nine nieces, an avid reader, a college hockey fan, a runner, and the owner of a very opinionated 20-year-old cat named Cosmo.

My goal is simple: to help clients feel informed, confident, and cared for when making important healthcare and retirement decisions.
